Toys for Kids was started in 1995 by local radio DJ, Timmy Vee, who saw a need to help the families of his hometown during the holidays. Since its inception, Toys for Kids has provided toys to over 185,000 children in Brevard County, Florida.
Toys for Kids, Inc. is a local 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to helping families in our community during the holiday season.
No funds or donations leave our area, and no family is ever turned down.
How We Work
Toys for Kids accepts new, unwrapped toy donations at partner locations starting on Black Friday. Please see the Toy Drop-off page for their locations.
At the conclusion of the donation drive, toys are collected and distributed to those who have registered for help online.
Our sponsors provide donations and in-kind services that help us put on our two fundraising events and Toy Day.
Grant BBQ Festival is a three day music festival, BBQ competition, classic car show, and arts and crafts marketplace. Great food, great bands, and the community coming out for a regional barbecue and get-together.
Toy Ball is a one-night fundraising event for our sponsors and volunteers, where we gather to raise money and support, so we can continue to provide toys for kids in Brevard County, Florida.
Toy Day is the day we give out gifts. It’s the Pick-Up day and we need lots of volunteers to be winter elves with us. 🙂
